Extended Online PA 10 Steering Group Meeting | Cross-border Services
Priority Area 10 “Institutional Capacity and Cooperation” organises an extended Online PA 10 Steering Group Meeting on Cross-border Cooperation and Cross-border Services on Wednesday, 16 September 2020, 1400-16.00 CET.
Aim of the meeting
The meeting addresses Priority Area 10’s Action “To facilitate the administrative cooperation of communities living in border regions”.
In view of this action, Priority Area 10 seeks to achieve the target of “establishing structures to contribute to the facilitation of cross-border capacity building and cooperation through facilities such as cooperation platforms,
knowledge transfer, and project development for cross-border public services”. Hence, the Steering Group meeting will provide latest findings and information on support to improve administrative cooperation.
This will be followed by a joint discussion on how to initiate next steps to achieve the Priority Area’s target.
Against this background, we seek to discuss the following aspects:
- Who needs to be involved in the Danube Strategy’s/Priority Area’s effort to facilitate cross-border capacity building?
- Which measures can and should we initiate/support/promote?
- How can we support institutions/organisations/project promoters to meet their needs to cooperate and coordinate?

Extended Online PA 10 Steering Group Meeting
The recently published revised EUSDR Action Plan and the on-going embedding process of the Danube Strategy into EU programmes 2021-2027 constitute a good opportunity to take a closer look at the actions and topics addressed under Priority Area 10 “Institutional Capacity and Cooperation”. Hence, Priority Area 10 “Institutional Capacity and Cooperation” aims at presenting topics from the EUSDR Action Plan to exchange on relevant policies and projects and discuss ways forward for the next years. The “extended” online Steering Group Meetings are an online meeting format to present and discuss specific PA 10 topics within the PA 10 Steering Group as well as further relevant groups, such as working group members (Danube Local Actors Platform), National Coordinators, Priority Area Coordinators, and other stakeholders, who are active in the topic.
