2ND DANUBE FINANCING DIALOGUE

Thursday, 24th January 2013 at TBD

Location: National Bank of Serbia, Belgrade

This event is in the past.

About

The EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) does not provide additional EU funding but relies on a more efficient use of existing financial instruments. Furthermore, most of the EUSDR projects are still at the stage of ideas or in the preparation phase. Accordingly, there is a major need to connect financiers with project promoters in order to identify opportunities of realizing projects and businesses.

In this context, the Coordinator of the EUSDR Priority Area 10 „Institutional capacities and cooperation“ from the City of Vienna, Mr. Kurt Puchinger, has been organizing a series of Danube Financing Dialogues.

As its name implies, the essence of the event is a dialogue, namely a dialogue between private and public project promoters in the Danube Region and their potential financers. The conference aims to provide the representatives from both groups with a platform for discussing financing possibilities as well as identifying new business opportunities in the Danube Region. After the successful premiere of the 1st Danube Financing Dialogue at the Austrian Central Bank (OeNB), the coordinator of the City of Vienna is now preparing the second event in the series. The 2nd Danube Financing Dialogue will take place on 24th and 25th of January 2013 in the premises of theNational Bank of Serbia (NBS) in Belgrade. Apart from concentrating on innovative projects of small and medium enterprises, the conference will also focus on the promotion of interventions in the sectors of transport and culture.
