HOW TO TALK TO THE EUROPEAN COMMISION: A PUBLIC CONSULTATION OVERCOMING OBSTACLES IN BORDER REGIONS IS NOW OPEN

The European Commission (EC) has launched a Public consultation Overcoming obstacles in border regions with the aim to collect opinions from citizens, businesses and public administrations on what are the obstacles in the implementation of cross-border projects and how to overcome them. Numerous legal and administrative burdens still exist within Interreg programme and hinder the spending of the funds. Such initiative is directly linked to PA10 thematic action of facilitating the administrative cooperation of communities in border regions.

Until 21 December 2015, you, as a member of the civil society, business, organization or public administration are entitled to speak out your opinion by filling the online public consultation. The conclusions will provide an overview of the persisting obstacles and feed into a study aiming to produce practical suggestions on how the EU can ease remaining border challenges.
