Apply now for the 3rd BACID Call for Proposals

The BACID programme aims at strengthening the capacities of local administrations in the non-EU countries of the Western Balkans and Moldova. Against this background, the programme particularly addresses the economic, environmental and social dimension of sustainable development. In doing so, BACID is supporting the uptake of objectives from the Agenda 2030 as well as the introduction of related EU policies and standards. Beneficiaries have the opportunity ti develop tailor-made solutions on the basis of a peer-to-peer approach and knowledge transfer with Austrian partners and within cross-sectoral partnerships.

 

Now, the BACID programme launched its 3rd and final Call for Proposals with a total amount of EUR 55,000.

The deadline for submitting applications is the 15th of June 2020.

 

3rd BACID Call for Proposals

The overall theme of the BACID programme is the contribution to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) integrated in the latest EU policies. Hence, the selected actions need to be connected to the SDGs. Thereby, the programme particularly emphasises SDG 11, which focuses on inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities and settlements.

 

The selected proposals receive grants-based funding up to a maximum amount of EUR 8,000.

This money can be used to finance the following items:

  • expert support and mentoring,
  • workshops, seminars, trainings, and
  • reports, studies, surveys and other documents such as guidance papers, roadmaps, model decisions etc.)

 

The above-mentioned tasks need to implemented within six months and need to take place in one of the follwoing countries:

  • Albania,
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina,
  • Kosovo,
  • Moldova,
  • Montenegro,
  • North Macedonia,
  • Serbia, or
  • Austria.

About the BACID Fund

The BACID Fund is a funding facility financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and managed by the Austrian Association of Cities and Towns (AACT) and KDZ (Public Administration Research Center). It supports small actions of exchange of knowledge between Austrian entities and partners in the countries of the Western Balkans and the Republic of Moldova.
