In September 2021 the Slovak EUSDR Presidency will organise two thematic conferences:

 

22 September 2021: EUSDR Thematic Conference on Innovation & Digitization  

Innovations and digitization are one of the thematic priorities under the Slovak Presidency in the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and affect all aspects of life in the Danube Region, therefore they should be mirrored in all priority areas. These topics are highly cross-sectoral and creates a significant space for cooperation within the EUSDR.

During the event questions of how to boost innovation and digitization in the Danube Region, regional aspects of SME digitization and funding for innovation & digitization, will be touched.

27 September 2021: EUSDR Thematic Event on Climate Change & Water Management

The conference is focused on sharing experience and best practices in climate change adaptation emphasizing (green) water retention measures and contributing to better water quality. As many initiatives labelled as “climate change adaptation” are now emerging in the Danube region countries, it shows a growing awareness on how important the adaptation component has become in numerous sectors of the economy. The objective of the conference is to contribute to series of discussions among policy and decision makers on what works and what methods are applicable, affordable and feasible in individual situations.
