November 15, 2021in 2021 0 Likes

The transnational programme Interreg Central Europe opened its first call for project proposals. Applicants are welcome to send their project proposals until 23 February 2022.

In its first call, the programme expects to spend 72 million EUR from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Thereby, the  budget will finance projects from the following four thematic priorities:

1. Cooperating for a smarter central Europe:  22 million EUR
2. Cooperating for a greener central Europe:  36 million EUR
3. Cooperating for a better-connected central Europe:  7 million EUR
4. Improving governance for cooperation in central Europe: 7 million EUR

Application procedure

The Interreg Central Europe programme organised the first call for proposals in a “one-step” procedure. Furthermore, applicants must submit their project proposals in English language and only through the web-based Joint Electronic Monitoring System (Jems) available at https://jems.interreg-central.eu.

Please note that Jems will be online in 2022, as from at least three weeks before the set deadline for submitting project proposals.

Documents and tutorials

The basic framework of Interreg Central Europe’s first call is outlined in the Terms of Reference (ToR). More information about rules and requirements for applicants are available in the application package and in the programme manual.

Download the application documents here.

In addition, the programme organised a launch event to present the key features of Interreg Central Europe and the first call on the 15 November 2021. If you missed it, you can rewatch it here (as of 16 November 2021).

The programme also offers transnational support to project applicants. Information on tutorials, webinars and further guidance can be accessed here.

Last, but not least, National Contact Points offer information in national language and consult applicants regarding programme rules and requirements. If you want to find national support in your country, visit the programme’s website here.
