CALL FOR APPLICATION: SUMMER SCHOOL FOR COOPERATION IN EVIDENCE-BASED POLICY MAKING
From the 6 to 8 of September 2017, the Joint Research Center (JRC), INGSA and the Slovak Academy of Sciences organise the third Evidence for Policy Summer School in Senec (SK). The 3-days seminar offers policy-makers and scientists a professional training, the opportunity to meet each other and to use scientific evidence to jointly develop policy solutions. This year, the summer school aims at gathering policy-makers and scientists from from Central and Eastern Europe and selected EU neighbouring countries. The programme is co-designed with the Commission’s Knowledge Centre on Migration and Demography, and will be of particular interests to scientists and policymakers working in this thematic and regional context.
The call for applications is open until 25 June 2017. More background information is availablehere.
Using the lens of migration and demographic change as a common domain of policy interest, participants will learn about the tools and approaches to better inform the policy making process. They will also identify and address universal issues in data and evidence gathering and communication between researchers, policy makers and the general public. The priority for participation will be given to applicants from Central and Eastern Europe, including full funding for selected non-EU nationals.
