OPEN CALL FOR PROPOSALS TO TACKLE CROSS-BORDER OBSTACLES
The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) implements the initiative “b-solutions”under the supervision of the European Commission/DG REGIO. b-solutions aims at tackling legal and administrative border obstacles/difficulties along EU internal borders and corresponds with the actions proposed in the EC Communication Boosting growth and cohesion in EU border Eregions (COM(2017) 534 final).
In order to identify and promote sustainable methods of resolving legal and/or administrative border obstacles, b-solution currently launches acall for project proposals that will be open until
30 April 2018, 14:00 CET. The total amount of budget available for this call is 400.000 EUR.
The initiative provides sub-grants of 20.000 EUR for small-scale pilot projects that deal with solutions for border obstacles in one of the five thematic areas:
- Employment
- Health
- (Public) Transport of passengers
- Multi-lingualism
- Institutional Cooperation
The call addresses public authorities (including EGTCs) at local, regional and national level located in an EU or EFTA country with EU/EFTA internal border(s). The project is expected to be implemented within a maximum period of 15 months. All call documents are available at the b-solution website.
