OPEN CALL: Young Bled Strategic Forum 2023 Mitigating our Butterfly Effect

May 16, 2023in 2023 0 Likes

This year Young Bled Strategic Forum (Young BSF) will take place under the title Mitigating our Butterfly Effect. It will take place between 25 and the 28 August 2022 in Ljubljana and Bled, Slovenia. The participants will then participate at the 18th Bled Strategic Forum from 28 to 29 August.

Inspired by the work of American mathematician and meteorologist Edward N. Lorenz coined in the metaphor “When a butterfly flutters its wings in one part of the world, it can eventually cause a hurricane in another”, the globalised world of today is increasingly interconnected, reliant on the understanding of our environment, and dependant on actions of multiple stakeholders.

#YoungBSF 2023 will build capacity, gather knowledge and acknowledge the strength of young stakeholders that can cause or prevent a hurricane through decisive and responsible action, contributing to solidarity and resilience within our societies.

What is Young BSF, and what does the programme support?
