REGISTER NOW FOR THE 5TH ANNUAL FORUM & PARTICIPATION DAY

 

The 5th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) takes place from 3 to 4 November 2016 in Bratislava (SK). This year’s topic is “Innovative Flows – Water, Knowledge and Innovation in the Danube Region” and will put a strong focus on challenges and perspectives of water management as well as research and innovation. The Annual Forum aims at taking a closer look at how to transform political commitment in concrete operational policies and measures.

The 5th Annual Event is jointly organised by the Slovak Republic (current Presidency of the EUSDR) and the European Commission (DG REGIO and DG JRC).

 

Working towards sustainable development – 3rd Participation Day of the EUSDR

Prior to the Annual Forum Priority Area 10 organises in cooperation with the Civil Society Forum, the Plenipotentiary for Civil Society Development in Slovakia, the Council of Danube Cities and Regions, the ARGE Donauländer and the EU LADDER the 3rd Participation Day in Bratislava (SK). From 2 to 3 November 2016 representatives from civil society and, regions and cities will focus on sustainable development.

On the 2 November, the Participation Day will deal with resilient sustainable development as an issue of participative multi-level governance in the Danube Region.

On the second day, representatives of civil society, cities and regions will discuss the role and potential to jointly enhance sustainable development in the region.

Bringing together local stakeholders representing civil society as well as local and regional authorities reflects the multitude of actors active and necessary for cooperation within multi-level governance as well as the need for participation, transparency and subsidiarity.
