Young minds. Big impact. Real influence.
Applications are now OPEN to become part of the Danube Youth Council (DYC), a unique platform where your ideas, your energy, and your voice help shape the future of one of Europe’s most diverse and dynamic regions.
If you’re between 18 and 29, passionate about regional cooperation, and ready to make your voice heard, this is your chance.
What’s the DYC all about?
The Danube Youth Council is the official youth advisory body to the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR). Launched in 2022, it gives young people from across 14 countries a seat at the table, alongside decision-makers, policymakers, and experts.
This isn’t just a “youth corner.” It’s a real role in real processes, with space to propose new ideas, speak up at regional events, and build connections that matter.
14 participating countries:Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Germany (Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria), Hungary, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine (Chernivetska, Ivano-Frankivska, Odeska, Zakarpatska Oblasts)
What can YOU do in the DYC?
As a member, you’ll:
-
Work with other young leaders across borders
-
Bring new ideas and regional perspectives to policymakers
-
Contribute to EUSDR thematic areas (like climate, mobility, education, innovation, and more)
-
Attend high-level events (including the EUSDR Annual Forum)
-
Create youth-led initiatives, publications, and joint projects
-
Help make sure youth policies are mainstreamed into real governance
All while learning, growing, and making a difference.
