Urban Innovation Actions Survey open until 22 May

May 18, 2020in 2020 0 Likes

The current financial period is coming to an end. At the same time, managing authorities of EU programmes are preparing for the next programming period 2021-2027. Against this background, the on-going programmes undergo several assessment and evaluation procedures. The results provide insights into the do’s and don’t’s for programming for the next years.

Currently, the Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) initiative opened an online survey until 22 May 2020. This survey is part of a first assessment of the programme and invites stakeholders of urban innovation to share their experience and opinions. In doing so, the assessment is aiming at checking the programme’s performance in relation to the programme objectives. Furthermore, the responses should provide some insights into possibilities for simplification or how to improve the programme.

Taking part in the survey: Who? How? Why?

The Centre for Strategy and Evaluation Services (CSES) invites stakeholders with an interest in innovation and sustainable development to take part in the survey. The survey is particularly addressing thematic areas, such as:

  • the relevance of topics addressed by the Urban Innovative Actions;
  • the effectiveness of UIA projects;
  • recommendations for the future to optimise the benefit from the programme.

The survey can be accessed here until 22 May 2020.

By taking part in the survey and sharing experience and expertise, the participants provide valuable insights and a reality check to the Managing Authority (European Commission/DG Regio). Therbey, stakeholders have the chance to support a more tailor-made approach for facilitating urban innovation through the programme.

The results of the survey will be analysed by the CSES. Subsequently, the results will be part of an assessment report. CSES expects to publish the report in autumn 2020.
