WHAT ARE THE YOUNGSTERS FROM DANUBE REGION THINKING

In May we gathered 20 young bright people that do care about Danube region and its developments and discussed with them about the future of the region. This time we invited young entrepreneurs and startups to understand better their view and expectations and hosted them to this end at regional startup conference Podim in Maribor, Slovenia.

The programme in Maribor involved a number of intriguing lectures, panels and round-table discussions on business, business development, investments, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, block chain technology and ICOs and other topics that are of high interest to the young entrepreneurs. As part of the programme, PODIM Challenge TOP 20 took place in which the best 20 start-ups attending the conference pitched their ideas in front of an expert jury. Integromat (Czechia), Agremo (Serbia), Aeriu (Hungary) and Flawless App (Ukraine) were selected among our participants.

Selected startupers talked about current situation in the region – mostly about the good governance in public administrations, tendencies of the policy reforms and discussed ways they can influence the changes. Common conclusion was that they have to be active citizens and contribute to the much-needed governance changes in their home countries.

Check what two of the participants think about our programme!
