This Friday, 15th of Ocotber, the States Ministry of Baden-Württemberg hosts the Youth.DanubeSalon (Jugenddonausalon) in Berlin. The event will take place in a hybrid format and can be accessed online. Around 30 youngsters from 14 Danube countries will address their ideas and demands for a prosperous joint future for Europe to politicians.
The youngsters will have the opportunity to discuss – inter alia – with Florian Hassler, Secretary General in Baden-Württemberg (DE) and Normunds Popens, Deputy Secretary General of the European Commission.
The positions expressed by the youth, were elaborated in September in the course of three online conferences. In doing so, they discussed aspects such as opportunities for participation and cooperation for youngsters from non-EU member states at European level or brain-drain and East-West migration dynamics. The conferences also offered the chance for intergenerational dialogue addressing topics like climate change, digitalisation, and interregional civil society cooperation or cultural heritage.
After the panel discussion, the Youth Danube Salon presents the winners of the “Shoot by Youth” video competition.
The Youth. DanubeSalon starts at 13.30 CET and can be accessed at the follwoing links:
