The Foster Europe Foundation for strong European Regions, in collaboration with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, the BOKU Doctoral School Human Rivers, the Danube Civil Society Forum and the EUSDR Priority Area 10 is set to host the 3rd Austrian National Participation Day in the EUSDR. Scheduled for April 9, 2024, this event carries the title “Waters 2040: Climate Change and Resilient Water Management in the Danube.”
This year the Austria National Participation Day will coincide with the stakeholder meeting of the EU Horizon Project DANUBE4all, amplifying the impact and scope of the dicussions. Together, experts, researchers, and stakeholders will delve into the complex current challenges faced by the Danube region.
The primary objective of the conferene is to delve into the political, administrative, economic and social issues connected to changes in the Water Circle and Water Management in the Danube catchment by 2024. As climate chance conitnues to reshape our environment, it is imperative to address these challenges proactively. The agenda touches upon critical themes such as climate change adaptation, sustainable water management practices, and the integration of science and policy.
