13th Meeting of the Danube Local Actors Platform (D-LAP)

The 13th Meeting of the Danube Local Actors Platform (D-LAP) takes place in Vienna (AT) on 28 February 2023.

The aim of the meeting is to share news and recent developments from the EU Danube Strategy such as the priorities of the Slovenian Presidency, the launch of the Danube Youth Council, and EU Danube Strategy related topics to be funded in the European Cohesion Policy Funds.

Furthermore, the meeting will address the state of play of National Participation Day and discuss plans and support.

In addition, the coordination team of Priority Area 10 “Institutional Capacity and Cooperation” will present its workplan for 2023 and 2024 as well as discuss possibilities for cooperation with the Danube Local Actors Platform.

In the Danube Participation Day Lab, we will have the opportunity to discuss and develop effective formats to work on the topics of the Danube Participation Day 2023.

In the final session, the meeting addresses the question which cooperation formats we should develop to strengthen cooperation, mutual learning, networking, and communication in the Danube Local Actors Platform.

The Danube Local Actors Platform (D-LAP)

The Danube Local Actors Platform of EUSDR Priority Area 10 “Institutional Capacity and Cooperation” is a network of civil society organisations, researchers, and local and regional public administrations to strengthen participatory governance and strategy implementation in the Danube Region.
Thereby, the Danube Local Actors Platform aims at providing focussed policy recommendations; transparent exchange and structured dialogue with civil society and local actors; cooperation within the EUSDR and with other macro-regional strategies; and information about relevant activities concerning civil society, local actors, governance, EUSDR etc.

Priority Area 10 “Institutional Capacity and Cooperation” of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region

Priority Area 10 (PA 10) of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) aims at stepping up institutional capacity and cooperation.
In accordance with the EUSDR Action Plan, Priority Area 10 addresses institutional capacity-building at local, regional and national level, involvement of civil society in public governance, increasing local development and better spending as well as increasing absorption rates of EU funds.
Priority Area 10 “Institutional Capacities & Cooperation” serves as an information and communication hub for local, regional, national and European stakeholders responsible for as well as working in the field of institutional capacity building, participative governance and spatial development.
