The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Hungary organises its first EUSDR National Hearing on the 31st of August 2021. In view of the EUSDR Presidency’s thematic priority on digitalisation and this year’s motto of the Danube Participation Day, the hearing will address digitalisation of agriculture and public services.
Against this background, the Hearing will present and discuss the Hungarian Digital Agriculture Strategy. Furthermore, the event provides the opportunity to learn more about transnational drought management and digital systems to assess and forecast natural hazards in Hungary.
The hearing will also touch upon the subject of digital public services and the potential of eGovernment services to get closer to citizens, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the event will showcase some best practice examples from Hungarian municipalities.
The Hungarian EUSDR Hearing will take place in the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economics in Budapest. The event will be in Hungarian.
The National EUSDR Hearing in Hungary will be the first National EUSDR Hearing/National Participation Day in 2021. In doing so, Hungary contributes to the target of EUSDR Priorty Area 10 that aims at encouraging all partner countries of the Danube Strategy to involve national, regional and local authorities, as well as civil society organisations and further relevant stakeholders in the communication and implementation of the EUSDR through implementing national/regional Participation Days (see Target 6).
