European Week goes virtual

July 23, 2020in 2020 0 Likes

This year, the European Week of Regions and Cities introduces a couple of innovations in its format. In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the European Commission and European Committee of the Regions decided to organise the majority of sessions online. Additionally, the European Week will take place for three weeks, namely from the 5th to the 22nd of October.  Thereby, each week will address specific policy aspects:

  • Empowering Citizens
  • Cohesion & Cooperation
  • Green Europe (in cooperation with the Green Week)

Against this background, the European Week gathers stakeholders from politics, public administration, civil society, research and business to discuss common challenges and possible solutions for European regions. In doing so, the format provides a platform for capacity building, exchanging good practices and experiences as well as networking.

More information about the European Week and the sessions can be accessed here. The website will be updated on a regular basis.

Registration for the 18th European Week of Regions and Cities will open on 27th of August 2020.
