The Danube Region Programme is about to launch the first call for proposals in the first half of 2022. In doing so, the programme aims to support projects that address the following priorities:
- A smarter Danube Region
- A greener, low-carbon Danube Region
- A more social Danube Region
- A better cooperation governance in the Danube Region
The draft cooperation programme is available here (version January 2022).
In preparation to the first call for proposals, the Joint Secretariat organises a series of webinars for potential applicants. The webinars will provide more detailed information on the specific objectives of the thematic objectives. Thereby, applicants receive better insigts into the programme authority’s expectations to assess how project ideas match.
Webinar on “A smarter Danube Region”
The first webinar takes place on Monday, 23 May 2022, at 9.30 CET. Interested project partners can register here until 19 May.
With the online seminar, the Joint Secretariat introduces the specific objectives on “enhancing innovation and technology transfer” (SO 1.1.) and 2building skills for smart specialisation, industrial transition and entrepreneurship” (SO 1.2).

As the webinar on a smarter Danube Region kicks off the series of online seminars, the Danube Region Programme will present more topics in the next weeks.
Against this background, the webinar on “greening the energy and transport sectors” will take place on Thursday, 26 May 2022. The registration is already open and accessible in the webinar calendar of the Danube Region programme.
