The primary aim of this call is to address Policy Objective 2: A greener, low-carbon transitioning towards a net-zero carbon economy and resilient Europe and its neighbourhood. The specific objective focuses on promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention and resilience, with an emphasis on eco-system-based approaches.
Expected Results
- Infrastructure Projects: Projects may include building or upgrading infrastructure related to fire and flood management, strengthening river banks and canals, improving dam conditions, afforestation of riverbanks, and revitalizing water bodies and ecosystems. Collaborative efforts with local civil society on both sides of the border are encouraged.
- Equipment Procurement: Projects may involve acquiring necessary tools to handle emergencies, such as firefighting equipment, flood management tools, hardware, software, and vehicles.
- Hazard Management Strategies: Development of joint action plans, technical and operational measures for real-time coordinated actions, risk plans, intervention procedures, public awareness campaigns, and updated joint operational plans. This includes hydrological monitoring of rivers and other environmental parameters, often initiated by local civil society.
- Joint Training Programs: These programs aim to enhance experience and knowledge exchange in efficient risk prevention and management, involving local civil society and volunteers.

- Ukraine – Odesa, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi

- Public Bodies (national, regional, local)
- Research Institutions including Universities
