The EU Danube Strategy strongly condemns the on-going military acts in Ukraine that cause loss of life and suffering of the people in Ukraine.

Donations for humanitarian aid in Ukraine (Official request from the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Ms Olga Stefanishyna)
The Deputy Prime Minister calls for donations for humanitarian aid for Ukrainian citizens and the military. In a letter, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishyna calls for support including a list of items to be purchased with the incoming donations including things like drinking water, hygiene products, hospital beds etc.

Medical aid for army & territorial defence | Paramedic.ua
The Odessa-based organisation Paramedic.ua is an organisation that provides first aid trainings and supports the army and territorial defence with first aid kits and other necessary medicine. The paramedic organisation is a long-standing partner of our Ukrainian D-LAP members.
Please not, since purchases of smaller initiatives abroad are becoming more difficult, Paramedic.ua has opened bank accounts in Austria and USA.

Temporary Residency Rights for Ukrainian refugees in the European Union
On the 3rd of March 2022, the EU interior minitsers gave unanimous backing to activate the Temporary Protection Directive to offer quick and effective assistance to people fleeing the war in Ukraine. Under this directivel, those fleeing the war will be granted temporary protection in the EU, meaning that they will be given a residence permit, and they will have access to education and to the labour market.

ERA4Ukraine: Online Portal to support Ukrainian researchers
The European Commission launched the ‘European Research Area for Ukraine’ (ERA4Ukraine) portal, a one-stop-shop for information and support services to Ukraine-based researchers and researchers fleeing Ukraine. The portal brings together initiatives at EU level, per country and from non-governmental groups. It aims to help affected researchers find housing and job opportunities, facilitate the recognition of their diplomas, and offer other services.

Free train travel for Ukrainian refugees
Train operators across Europe are now offering free rail transport to Ukrainians displaced by the ongoing war. Passengers with a Ukrainian passport or ID card are exempt from rail ticket charges in Poland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Belgium, and Denmark.

Dopomoha.ro: Official Romanian online information platform for Ukrainian refugees
Dopomoha (Help) is a web support and information platform for migrants fleeing the war in Ukraine. On this platform they will find information on the entry requirements at the border, the procedure for seeking asylum in Romania, their rights and obligations as asylum seekers and useful resources for their stay in Romania. Dopomoha is available in Romanian, Ukrainian, English and Russian and can be accessed through a browser from any device.

Dopomoha.gov.md: Official Moldovan online information platform for Ukrainian refugees
The platform offers information of the full range of services provided to Ukrainian refugees. This information includes for instance conditions for crossing the border of the Republic of Moldova, accommodation units, food, specialized medical assistance, help for children and pets, financial and telecommunications services, contacts on active initiative groups in the online environment, information on job offers for refugees and other. The web site is available in Russian language and can be accessed through a browser from any device.
